CASK IS A swanky new cocktail bar that recently opened its doors on MacCurtain Street in Cork.

The new addition to Cork’s nightlife scene prides itself on artisan cocktails and tapas.

One cocktail that’s bound to make Corkonians’ hearts swell? Cork First, Ireland Second.

The cocktail is a nod to Roy Keane who once said, “When people ask me where I’m from, I always say Cork, never Ireland. It’s always Cork first and Ireland second.”

What’s in it, you ask?

Cotton Ball Brewing Company Indian Summer is shaken with a whole Passion Fruit, Banana liqueur, Tanqueray Gin and Blackwater Distillery Juniper Cask Gin.

To soften it out we add of scoop of West Cork Vanilla ice cream to the mix and ‘cos it’s not quite sharp tounged enough we also add some Aperol. It’s finished with a dash of Guelder Rose Tincture.

All that’s missing is a spritz of Tanora.

Best of all, every cocktail comes with a scowling Roy Keane.
